Product Review of Parnerme Baby Car Mirror With Light

Okay folks, here is my review of the Parnerme Baby Car Mirror with Built in Light. There are several of these on the market, but a lot of them suck. I’m not just taking about ones with lights built in either. I’ve tried a few of them before I found this one.  This product has a lot of pros and I wanted to share my thoughts with you.

Side view image of the mirror. It easily and securely attaches to the headrest above baby (via straps).
Baby can see themselves in the mirror day or night.
Easily see baby in rear view mirror from the driver’s seat.

Pros:

  • It comes with a light built in
  • It comes with a remote control for the light
  • It has a 360 degree swivel
  • It’s nice and and large in size
  • Baby is clear in review mirror (my camera isn’t the best, but in person it’s awesome)
  • Baby can see themselves day or night
  • Good price

Cons:

  • Needs 3 AAA & 2 AA batteries (not included)
  • Need a screwdriver to replace batteries

The Light and Remote:

This is absolutely a game changer for us. My daughter is one of those babies who can’t stand to be in the car when she can’t see anything at night. She needs to know mommy and daddy are close by and she knows where she is.

Baby can see themselves in mirror at night with the light on.

This built in light is just what we needed. Not only does it provide just the right amount of light for baby (as to not distract driver), it also is bright enough for you to see baby and baby to see themselves in the mirror. Pictures reflect at night with no flash or lights on in the car. My camera quality isn’t the best, but you can get an idea of the amount of light. In person, it’s the perfect account of light.

A view of the baby with no other light on in the car other than the mirror. In person, it is just the right amount.

The remote is a nice addition. I can turn the light on and off from anywhere in my car without having to touch the mirror. This is great when your driving and it gets dark. You don’t have to pull over. The back has a clip on it, which is a nice feature in the vehicle. You can clip to your visor or back of the seat, etc…

Front of remote control. One button and that controls the light.

The remote takes 2 AAA batteries and the mirror takes 3 AA batteries. This isn’t that big of a deal but you need to know you’ll need to have some batteries on hand. I like these because they’re cost effective and they come in large quantities. I keep extra in my car for when the batteries die. It is also important to not that you’ll need a screwdriver to open both the mirror battery cover and Remote battery cover. This is likely for the safety of the child.

Back of remote. This is where the batteries go.

The Mirror:

The mirror itself is the perfect size (not too small and not too large).  Other mirrors on the market are just too tiny to be able to properly see the baby from your rear view mirror.  I need to be able to see my daughter when I am driving with her (day or night) and this mirror allows that.  My baby also gets to look at herself in the mirror, which she really enjoys.  The mirror has a 360 degree swivel on it to allow you to control just the right angle.  I appreciate the straps that are on the mirror as well.  They allow the perfect adjustment and security needed to hold the mirror up on the headrest above the baby.  Other mirrors I have tried just don’t have the proper stability needed and move as soon as you hit a bump in the road.

Bottom Line:

I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family.
